To My One and Only Son: Jay Tomas, the Heart of My World

Jay in 6th grade ~ True Gamer Energy

My JayJay is a true gamer his heart and soul were practically made for it. 🎮💙

When he was little, he was so passionate about his games that he would yell at the screen like a madman 😂his poor friends would run home with fear in their eyes! (Sorry, not sorry, tiny warriors. 🫣)

But Jay has come a long way.

Thanks to reminders and encouragement from others who cared about him, he started learning that...

“The game is supposed to be fun something you enjoy. Once you start getting angry, that’s your first clue to log off and take a break.”

✨ Rule of the Man Cave: No Anger Allowed.

I was so proud of him when I noticed the change in his “online behavior.” Jay was happier. And I’ll never forget the first time I heard him say calmly and cool:

“Bruh, it’s just a game.”

🔥 Growth. Maturity. Vibes. Jay has blossomed into such a chill, kind soul, always showing up to be his best self.

When he visits us here on Earth (😇 because he truly is from another planet of sweetness), it’s the greatest treat. He’s absolutely hilarious he makes us laugh nonstop! 🤣✨

And not only is he funny, but Jay just knows what people need. He’s so emotionally tuned in he can lift your spirit in an instant.

Being raised with two strong-willed sisters, he’s constantly taught how to treat women with respect. He’s told to do little things for them because "you’re going to have to do this for a girlfriend one day!" 😂💅 But don’t worry, he gets pampered and spoiled by us girls too. He is our perfect, testosterone-filled little gentleman surrounded by a house full of strong female energy.

He’s our cuddle bear, our tatter tot, our JJ… Even if he doesn’t always want to cuddle anymore. 🐻💞

✨ The best thing about Jay is his kind, loving heart. ✨

And so, I’ve started a project just for him. This is the beginning…

Jay smiling the light of your world

Sometimes, we all need to know that we matter. And I’m not just talking about, “Yeah, life would suck without you.” I mean you make a difference in my world. A difference bigger than you could ever imagine.

It’s hard to put into words, but the truth is if you were no longer around, life wouldn’t just suck. It wouldn’t be life anymore. I wouldn’t want to live a single day without you by my side.

💭 In Need...

People often talk about how they’d “make it through.” I don’t want to hear that.

I want to know that it would be hard to get out of bed. That the moment your eyes open, you’d think about me and feel the space where I used to be.

I want to believe the world would feel off-kilter without me. That my laughter, my love, my presence was the piece that made everything feel right.

We all wonder where we stand. We want to know we mattered that we made a real impact. That the people we love were better, stronger, happier… because of us.

💬 Sometimes kids don’t know how to ask for what they need...

They act out. They rebel. But what they’re really screaming for is:

💗 Do I matter to you? Am I still important? Am I enough?

Don’t ever let the chance slip by to tell your child how much they mean to you.

We need to hear it **again and again **until we believe it.

And if they’re asking you, it’s because you are everything in their world.

Because maybe… they are everything in yours too. 💫

💘 My One and Only Son...

Jay is so handsome; he has the sweetest eyes, a one-of-a-kind beauty mark right by his eye

I’ve had crushes. I’ve had boyfriends. I’ve had loves that made me think I couldn’t breathe without them. But no one no man, no love has ever touched my soul the way my son has.

Jay Tomas is the love of my life.

The way he looks at me. The little smiles he thinks I don’t see. How he checks for my approval after every accomplishment. The way he loves me simply because I loved him first.

Jay’s baby face with that unforgettable smile

Jay was my chubby “compact” baby whose smile took up his whole face his eyes would disappear into his joy. 🥹💕

He was the most adorable baby and toddler, the cutest kid, and now, in his first year of middle school, he’s grown into my handsome little man.

🗣️ A Reminder to All Moms:

Our sons need us.

They need our truth. Our hugs. Our constant belief in who they are.

Let’s raise strong men by showing them what real love looks like daily.

💙 This is my boy. My one and only son. His name is Jay Tomas. And I am so, so proud. 💙
