🧠 Feed the Brain and Dance with Purity 💃 OG written October 30, 2016

We are forever evolving. 🌱 From the moment we are conceived until the day we take our last breath, we shift mind, body, and soul. Who we are right now is shaped by our past and molded by our present. Growth happens the moment we allow new knowledge and deeper understanding to guide our thoughts.

I’ve always been fascinated by the power of the mind how it works, and more importantly, how we can train it to work for us instead of against us. The ability to change our thought patterns to literally rewire our mindset is one of the most empowering tools we’ve been given. If I can reshape my thoughts, why not shape them toward happiness? ✨

The truth is: our thoughts become our beliefs, and our beliefs become our truth. So why choose pain, fear, or misery… when we can choose joy, peace, and purpose?
But let’s be real it’s not easy to get to that point. Letting go of fear means stepping out of the armor we’ve built to protect ourselves. And that ego? Oh, it’s loud. 💥 But when we learn to hush the ego, we don’t need to be “right” or guarded. We just become… peaceful. Present. Pure.
During college, when I studied Psychology, I fell head-over-heels in love with the brain. 🧠 I believed it was more powerful than even the heart… after all, the brain controls the heartbeat, right?

Feed your mind like you feed your body, with intention and love.
But that argument could go on forever, because both brain and heart need each other to survive. 🫀🧠 Still, I’ve come to believe that to truly change our heart, we first have to change our brain. Too many people expect others to “fix” them whether it’s to remove fear or bring peace. But that’s not someone else’s job. Healing is an inside job.
Back in the Old Testament, the words “heart” and “mind” were often used interchangeably. When scripture speaks of the “heart,” it refers to the core of who we are ...our mind, our spirit. And that same scripture tells us the heart of man is wicked by nature. It reminds us that transformation begins with a change of heart.
💡 Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, you will be saved.” So why wouldn’t we want to clean, strengthen, and purify that heart?

We’re all born into this world with both equality and disparity. Some people enter with access to wealth and resources, while others must fight for every basic need. I’ve stood on both sides and let me tell you, money doesn’t guarantee peace. Sometimes, it brings more greed, more problems, and more emptiness.
The greatest wealth? ✨ Contentment. The greatest gift? 🙌 Health.

You can have everything money can buy, but if you don’t have your health what do you really have? You can’t work for your dreams, you can’t enjoy the things you earn. We are walking miracles… and it’s time we take care of ourselves accordingly. Self-care isn’t selfish, it’s sacred. 💖
“Every human being is the author of his own health or disease.” – Buddha

Just like our health, our relationships need to feed our growth. The best relationships hold truth, loyalty, and faith. 💫 Relationships that make your heart lighter, not heavier. That help you clean your mirror, not cloud it.

We each have a purpose, a unique calling. And no matter how hard you try, you can’t get orange juice from an apple tree. 🍊🍎 Don’t look to others to be something they’re not. Accept what people are, and stop expecting them to be your personal redemption.

So many people hold on to guilt, shame, or resentment. They stay mentally chained to someone who no longer walks their path. Even in hate, they keep that person alive in their mind. But that’s not healing. That’s soul sabotage. ❌

You are not here to save anyone. Let me say it louder for the people in the back: YOU 👏 ARE 👏 NOT 👏 HERE 👏 TO 👏 SAVE 👏 ANYONE 👏. That’s not your job. Your mission is to save yourself. Stop clinging to people out of pity. Don’t let their darkness dim your light.

Every soul you meet is a teacher, and you are a teacher too. Every relationship good or bad offers us wisdom. Don’t ever stop learning. The day you think you know it all is the day you close your heart.

I’ll be honest it offends me when people act like education doesn’t matter. 📚 Some assume that being “book smart” just means memorizing answers. But real knowledge? It’s transformational. It’s powerful. It builds bridges. And it sets minds free.
