The Red Paper Wasp That Followed Me Home

Updated: Aug 1, 2025

šŸ A Red Wasp, a Warning, and a Word from the Divine šŸ”„

This ain’t just about a wasp, y’all.

This is about a message that wouldn’t leave me alone literally.

I had just finished running into H-E-B, nothing unusual. I wasn’t even wearing bright colors, wasn’t smelling sweet or sweating, just doing what I do.

But then he appeared.

This fiery red paper wasp, buzzing around my head like I owed him something.

He didn’t sting.

He didn’t even act aggressive.

He just circled me intentionally.

Around my face, my crown, close enough to hear the buzz and feel the presence.

I didn’t swat at him I’ve learned by now that wasps smell fear, and for some strange reason I wasn't afraid. Spiritually, I’ve come to believe they sense energy even deeper than that.

So I just stayed calm. I let him be.

But he stayed too.

I got into my car, and there he was again now at my driver’s side window.

I’m thinking, okay… this is weird.

But then he moves to my windshield.

He’s still with me. Still watching. Still saying something.

And I hear the whisper in my spirit:

ā€œThis isn’t random. This is a message. Pay attention.ā€

šŸ›» I start driving home explaining to Rico how weird that wasp occurence just was; not even halfway there and then ding, my phone lights up.

It’s my daughter.

She’s out in the garage working out, and she sends me a message:

ā€œTHIS is in the garage. Can Rico come kill it?ā€

She sends a pic… and I almost drop my phone.

It’s the exact same kind of red paper wasp.

The one that followed me at H-E-B.

The one that stared me down through the glass.

Now he’s at home, waiting for me.

✨ The Message Was Loud and Clear

At this point, I knew Spirit wasn’t playing.

This wasn’t just nature this was divine synchronicity.

And I leaned in:

What are you trying to tell me, God?

Here’s what came to my heart:

šŸ”» Integrity pays off even when it costs you something.

šŸ”» Honesty is intimidating to people who hide behind masks.

šŸ”» Living truthfully might not make you popular, but it will protect you.

šŸ”» And above all: Don’t sell out.

Don’t start playing their game just because it’s easier.

Don’t start watering yourself down to be palatable.

Don’t stop speaking up just because someone flinched when you told the truth.

The red wasp came to say:

ā€œYou are being watched not just by others, but by the universe. Stay aligned. Stay honest. Stay dangerous in your truth.ā€

šŸ Red Wasp Spiritual Meaning (In My Life Right Now):

🩸 Red the color of fire, blood, passion, warning, power

šŸ Wasp a master builder, a defender of its nest, not to be trifled with

🧠 Circling the crown Divine insight, awakening, a test of clarity and boldness

šŸ” From the store to the car to the garage , You can’t outrun a message that’s meant for you.

🌾 ā€œThe meek shall inherit the earthā€¦ā€ (But don’t get it twisted.)

Meek doesn’t mean weak.

Meek means disciplined. It means humble power.

It means knowing you can sting but you choose to build instead.

The red paper wasp didn’t sting me…

It reminded me.

That when you live with integrity, there are forces that try to silence or intimidate you.

But there are also forces heavenly forces that surround you, whisper truth to you, and say:

ā€œKeep going.

You’re not alone.

Your honesty shakes things loose.

Your presence makes liars tremble.

Don’t give in. Don’t change your wings just to be less noticeable.

You were meant to fly, not to shrink.ā€

šŸ“ Final Word

So if you’ve been feeling overlooked, underappreciated, or targeted for simply doing what’s right know this:

You’re not crazy.

You’re not alone.

And you’re definitely not meant to give up now.

The sting only comes to those who need to wake up.

If you’ve already been doing the work the wasp came to confirm you, not correct you.

Hold that crown high šŸ‘‘

Spirit sees you.

And so do I.
