I feel your absence echo louder than ever.

The 4th of July isn’t just a day of celebration for me

it’s the night everything changed.

It’s the night you left this world

but never left my heart.

Victor, your name still carries weight in my spirit.

You were more than a memory

you were laughter in the car,

deep talks under stars,

and too many kisses every summer night; I’ll never forget.

You saw me.

In a world that often made us feel invisible,

you looked me in the eye and made me feel real.

And while you couldn't stay,

you gave me something eternal:

a piece of your soul that still whispers when the night sky gets quiet.

I miss you.

I forgive you.

And I honor you

every time I choose love, truth, and growth over pain.

This 4th of July, while the world looks up at fireworks,
