✨🔥 This is a powerful, combative, and deeply transformative spread pulled for September 4, 2025. It’s thick with reversal energy (Six of Wands, Four of Pentacles, Three of Swords, Death, Eight of Cups, Five of Pentacles, Nine of Wands reversed) meaning we’re looking at delays, resistance, clinging, and lessons that need to be unlearned before freedom fully comes. Let’s walk card by card and then weave it all together into the storyline for our Tarot Tap.
🌟 Present Moment
Five of Wands
This is tension, competition, arguments, and everyone talking over each other.
It’s the energy of petty conflict, but also growth through struggle. No one is in agreement ! People seeing things their own way, its not just one person it's a group or many who are supposed to be on the same team but not on the same page. Each person has their own agenda of how it should go.
“Where there is no struggle, there is no strength.” – Oprah Winfrey
“Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional.” – Max Lucado
“Storms make trees take deeper roots.” – Dolly Parton
Colorology: The fiery reds and oranges of this card bring raw energy and intensity, but also the call to direct passion productively instead of letting it burn uncontrolled.
Element: Fire clashes can lead to sparks that light the path ahead.
⚔️ Conflict
Ace of Swords
A moment of truth, clarity, or decision cutting through the noise. Someone didn't'wantnto see it, believed the excuses but things sre clearer now. Conflict has started because of the truth being clear yet not wanting to act or change what must be faced. Truth is there, but it can feel very painful.
“The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.” – Gloria Steinem
“Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.” – Buddha
“Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.” – Thomas Jefferson
Element: Air clarity, thought, and perception sharpened to a blade.
⚡ Past
Knight of Swords
Fast, reckless energy soneone protecting you since the the past: rushing in without thinking, words cutting, choices made hastily. Someone pushed too hard, too fast.
Feeling a very protective energy here, maybe trying to save someone who doesn't want to be saved type of energy here or it'snot their job. Past Lessons show It's about learning to feel low enough inside where you have to save yourself. But someone was antsy waiting and charges in instead of being patient and even though its clearer brings a doubt that makes one cling harder.
“He who is not a good servant will not be a good master.” – Plato
“Action without thought is like shooting without aim.”
“The tongue has no bones, but it can break hearts.” – Proverb
Sadly this is true because words are very powerful, especially honest words.
🏆 Root
Six of Wands Reversed
Instead of victory, there’s delays, lack of recognition, or pride which continues to block progress. Someone is craving validation but not earning it, maybe afraid of failure.
“Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” – Proverbs 16:18
“The applause of a single human being is of great consequence.” – Samuel Johnson
“True success is overcoming the fear of being unsuccessful.” – Paul Sweeney
💸 Crown
Four of Pentacles Reversed
This is someone who is very possessive and/or clingy wants to hold what is theirs what they are afraid to lose, they grip with not just their hands but their feet too...clinging tightly to what they feel may slip away.
They finally begin to let go of the control, loosening the grip on the fear, of money, or a relationship.
Or the opposite: struggling to release and clinging too tightly to what else makes them feel secure because they can see the truth of it slipping away.
“Holding on is believing there’s only a past; letting go is knowing there’s a future.” – Daphne Rose Kingma
“You only lose what you cling to.” – Buddha
“The things you own end up owning you.” – Fight Club
Colorology: Earthy browns and greens reversed showing instability when what should feel solid feels shaky.
✨ Sometimes the ground beneath us is already unstable, but we direct our anger toward the person who points it out as if naming the cracks caused the earthquake. This is the danger of misdirected blame: confusing the messenger with the message, or the tremor with the truth. Four of Pentacles reversed reminds us that clinging too tightly to control can turn us against those who are simply showing us what we need to release. The fault is not in the one who notices the shaking ground, but in our refusal to let go of what was never steady in the first place. ✨
💔 Near Future
Three of Swords Reversed
This card is Healing after heartbreak. Pain has been acknowledged and is starting to ease. Forgiveness (of self or others) is possible, though scars remain.
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” – Rumi
“Sometimes, the only way to heal is to hurt first.”
“Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.” – Mark Twain
☠️ You and Me
Death Reversed
Both in the YOU and ME position shows both parties are resistance to change, clinging to the old, fear of transformation. Strong indicaton of codependency. Fear of abandonment: Codependent people often have wounds from childhood (neglect, inconsistent love, trauma) that make them equate being left with being unlovable.
Identity tied to the relationship: They don’t see themselves as whole outside of the “we.” Leaving feels like disappearing.
Caretaker role: The codependent feels needed, and leaving means “failing” the person they’ve been rescuing. The 💔 Emotional Attachment maybe a rollercoaster bond: Even if the relationship is unhealthy, the highs (love-bombing, moments of connection) can feel intoxicating. Is there fear of guilt/shame:; feelingresponsible for the other person’s well-being “If I leave, they’ll fall apart.”
Illusion of control: Staying feels like maybe, one day, they can fix or heal the other person...personally, I am so guilty of this one .
Maybe it's Financial dependency: One or both may rely on the other for money, housing, or stability.
Social/family pressure: Fear of judgment, “failure,” or breaking up a family unit.
Change is terrifying: Even if it’s toxic, the known feels safer than the unknown.
🔮 Deeper Spiritual/Energetic Layer
Soul contracts & karmic lessons: Sometimes codependent bonds feel fated. They teach hard lessons in boundaries, self-worth, and love. That’s why people stay the pull feels larger than logic.
Energetic entanglement: Codependency can feel like cords are tied between them when one tries to leave, both feel the energetic ripping.
Both parties may know something needs to end or transform, but the grip of fear holds it back.
“The greatest mistake you can make in life is to continually fear you will make one.” – Elbert Hubbard
“Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck.” – Mandy Hale
“To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” – Winston Churchill

🏞️ Outside Influence
Eight of Cups Reversed
Someone keeps circling back instead of walking away. A refusal to leave what no longer serves, even when the soul yearns for more.
“You can’t start the next chapter if you keep re-reading the last one.”
“We must be willing to let go of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” – Joseph Campbell
“Sometimes walking away has nothing to do with weakness, and everything to do with strength.”
🌑 Hopes and Fears
Five of Pentacles Reversed
The fear of abandonment and poverty, but also the hope of finding recovery, warmth, and community after loss. This is the “dark night” beginning to lift.
“Out of difficulties grow miracles.” – Jean de La Bruyère
“Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.” – Victor Hugo
“We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” – Oscar Wilde
🛡️ Outcome
Nine of Wands Reversed
The outcome is Exhaustion, burnout, letting defenses down. The fight has dragged on so long, someone feels like giving up. But it’s also an invitation to rest, regroup, and not fight every battle.
“You can’t pour from an empty cup.”
“Fatigue makes cowards of us all.” – Vince Lombardi
“Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others.” – Eleanor Brown
🔮 The Storyline of the Spread

The past shows rash words/actions (Knight of Swords) feeding the fire. The crown reveals a need to let go of control (Four of Pentacles reversed), while the near future promises the beginning of healing after heartbreak (Three of Swords reversed).
“You and me” is stuck in resistance (Death reversed), while outside influences show someone unwilling to fully walk away (Eight of Cups reversed). The hopes and fears show a desire for recovery but a deep fear of being left out in the cold (Five of Pentacles reversed). The outcome says: the struggle has left everyone drained (Nine of Wands reversed). The lesson is clear: you don’t need to fight every battle rest, release, and let truth guide the way.
